Green was your favourite colour, mum. I may not always have shown it, but I loved you in my own special way.
You weren't the easiest of mums, I wasn't the best of daughters, but we muddled through I think. I championed your independence, and although I know your spirit lies in a better place, I miss you, your quirky ways, your ability with words. I have an abundance of memories and, while I will die before this candle burns out, your zest for life will live on. Sarah x
